Welcome

Welcome to the Monticello Opera House. Our organization is a private, self-supporting, 501(c)3, non-profit corporation. Our historic, two-story facility, built in 1890, includes a large banquet hall on the ground floor, which is perfect for weddings, meetings or receptions, a 311 seat theater on the second floor, and a picturesque garden area. We produce year-round entertainment including a variety of concerts, plays, musicals, dinner theater, children's theater, and other events. We are home to two local community theater groups: the Opera House Stage Company and the Monticello Acting and Dance Company. The Opera House is also a popular venue for weddings, parties, conferences, and other events.

Our building serves as a civic center for all of Jefferson County. Glad you are here!
